EARLY REGISTERS
BAPTISMS & BURIALS
The early registers of St Ive are in a very poor state. Entries are not in chronological order and skip from the 1760's to the 1720's and then the 1680's. Edges of pages are often missing and many entries have completely faded away. What follows is my best attempt to read these from microfiche of the original registers. Please bear in mind that due to the condition of the entries this transcription represents my 'best guess'. My notes are in blue, * represents illegible letters and '?' indicates uncertainty, although actually a large percentage of it is uncertain! I have not yet checked to see if there are any Bishops's Transcripts that are in a better condition. If anyone can help with any interpretations please contact me.
