Linkinhorne Parish
Poll Tax 1660
This census was taken in the parish of Linkinhorne on the 5th October 1660, for tax purposes. It lists all persons over the age of 16 years liable to pay tax. It would appear that the ordinary person had to pay 1/- (5p), whereas the persons with more land paid more. Obviously John Lampen at Padreda (now Patrieda) was considered very wealthy.
